REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO ENTER BELIZE
All U.S. citizens must have a U.S. passport valid for the duration of their visit to Belize.
U.S. citizens do not need visas for tourists or business visits of up to thirty (30) days, but they must have onward or return air tickets and proof of sufficient funds to maintain themselves while in Belize. Visitors for purposes other than tourism, or who wish to stay longer than thirty (30) days, must obtain visas from the government of Belize.
Any U.S. citizen who wishes to travel to Belize for any purpose other than tourism or business negotiations (e.g. work, study, adoption, immigration, or stays longer than stipulated in the entry requirements) should contact the Consulate.

Please be advised that in accordance with Statutory Instrument No. 15 of 2005, entitled "IMMIGRATION (PERMITS AND FEES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 2005", Visas to Belize now cost US$ 50.00 for a single entry, ninety day visa.
The above does not apply to nationals of the following countries, who are requested to contact this Consulate or the nearest Belize Diplomatic or Consular Representative for information on visa charges:

Please be advised that all visitors to Belize MUST be in possession of a valid Passport, an onward / return ticket and sufficient funds (US$ 60.00 per day) to cover the cost of your length of stay.
Processing time for most applications is approximately 72 hours.
NOTE: Some applications require the approval of the Department of Immigration of Belize before the visas can be issued, and it is recommended that applicants contact this consulate to establish how long their applications will take to be processed.
Application fee plus shipping and handling charge (and additional overnight mail charge if required) must be paid via money order, certified checks or bank drafts to the order of the Consulate of Belize.
The Consulate cannot accept personal checks.
